I’ll add my thanks to Jon for an inspiring and extraordinary journey into the world of folk song. This is a massive achievement that I feel privileged and proud to have been a part of. I’ve certainly learnt a lot, but there’s so much more to discover. Thanks to everyone for your contributions, opinions, comments and for putting me right where needed. For once I genuinely feel at a loss for words, although this bittersweet song seems a perfect end. Can you tell me the name of a song by I think Lou Killen about a ship lost at sea with all hands, a bit of an epic which Jon might have sung or mentioned in the past three years I think the title includes the word Rose but am not sure if anybody can help or tell me of a CD I might find it on. The song you are referring to is the timber-shiverer called ‘Rose In June’ that Jon indeed has covered on here and was one of my favourites. Look in the archives for June 30, 2012 which contains all the comments from previous years (but ignore the last about meeting older women in Chicago! Lol!)
