Jon appeared on Radio 3 as a guest on Ian McMillan’s The Verb. You can hear Jon in conversation about this very project and also singing New York Girls, with Sam Sweeny adding fiddle (there’s some rather nifty guitar work from Jon too.) Here’s the i-player link, which should work until Friday. Jon is introduced into the mix at around 18 minutes in, although the conversation starts in earnest at the 20 minute mark. The course of the discussion, within the context of words and language is interesting and the whole segment lasts for about 12 minutes in total. The i-player may not be available outside of the UK for copyright reasons, so apologies if it doesn’t work for you. Of course were someone to grab it and post it elsewhere, not that I can endorse such shenanigans…

Just thought I’d tell you I’ve added some stuff on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2011 including an i-player link for Mike Harding’s run through the nominees posted here. I’ve also got some reaction from Chris Wood and Heidi Talbot scheduled for the weekend and will have more reactions next week, from Fay and hopefully from Jon amongst others. Bellowhead at Shepherds Bush tomorrow too – Yowsah! I can’t wait. The whole families coming along.
